How many children do you homeschool?  Two:  Noah (6/97), Olivia (7/99) with two under our feet:  Sophie (4/01), Georgia (11/02)

What state do you live in?  Saskatchewan, Canada

Why do you homeschool?  We believe that we are following the Biblical model described in Deuteronomy 11:19.  We desire a strong sibling bond and increased closeness as a family.  In the most practical sense, we can't think of a more time efficient way to educate our children.

What curriculum do you use?  We are somewhat eclectic.  Our fall line-up includes Sonlight, Explode the Code, A Reason for Spelling, A Reason for Handwriting, Considering God's Creation, Singapore Math, and How Great Thou Art

What is your homeschooling style? Why? I am not sure how to answer this.  I am not comfortable doing school-at-home but we are certainly not unschoolers.  I suppose we are relaxed and somewhat desire directed but we feel strongly about giving our children a firm grounding and discipline of the basics in a way that keeps their interest. 

Do you follow a schedule? Would you share it?  Not currently but I plan on working one out for the fall and I will be willing to share it then.

Have your children ever attended public school or will they in the future?  My oldest attended ps K last year.  Our plan is to continue through high school if circumstances permit.

Do you belong to a support group? Why or why not?  I belong to a local organization of Christian home educators.  We joined to participate in weekly activities and I have found some great friends there who share my philosophy of raising children.
